Disclosure Policy

Disclosure Policy for the Software Abstractions blog

Note: This is meant to be a statement of policy, not a legal document, so we've tried to keep it simple.

  1. Staff and writers for the Software Abstractions blog will disclose any companies or products they have consulted on or worked for, now or in the recent past, that are related to any blog posts they create.
  2. Blog posts that mention advertising sponsors of this blog (or
their close competitors) will explicitly disclose the
    relationship.
  3. Any sponsored posts will be clearly disclosed as such.
  4. We're committed to following this philosophy to the very best of our abilities.
If we find that we've violated the spirit or letter of this policy, we
will clearly disclose the breach and do our best to rectify any
    errors.

In looking for content of interest to our readers, we expect to regularly write about sponsors as well as non-sponsors, since they're all likely to be in the same space. Rather than trying to avoid specific areas/companies, the focus will be on:

(a) trying to provide a balanced perspective as much as possible
(b) being careful to clearly disclose the sponsor relationship
